Commissioner for Climate Action Connie Hedegaard and Energy Commissioner
Günther Oetinger have proposed amendments of the Directives on renewable
energy, which favors liquid fuel based on waste. Connie Hedegaard is
satisfied with much less fossil-free fuel when it comes to bio-methanol.
She does so because Biomethanol is made on waste without encroaching
on agricultural land - it belongs to so-called 2 generation.

The Danish parliament supports the use of biogas for electricity
production and for upgrading of biogas to the natural gas grid with
DKK115/GJ. A minor support DKK75/GJ is granted users of biogas for industrial
process and transportation. Temporary subsidies disapears and only a
basic rate of DKK39/GJ is expected to persist after 2020.
Biogas for industrial process is supported where it replaces tax refundable
energy and only that part. Relevant applications are specified in
Annex 1.
This limitation is subject to change.

(methanol), then it is stored, distributed and managed as easy as was
it standard alcohol - and it can easily be blended into gasoline, as
we do today with bio-ethanol. Read Danish
